Earlier this year, Whatsapp, a famous multimedia messaging app company included a free voice call service in their newest app update.
This feature can be seen in version 2.11.528 and in their subsequent updates. If this feature has not been activated onn your whatsapp account, update it and it will be activated for you. If you don’t have whatsapp, download it from here.
Unfortunately, this service is not available for ios users. It is currently working on android platforms, but will soon be made available for ios platforms. This free calling feature is similar to the regular all UI in android smartphones and calls are automatically recorded. It requires an android OS of 2.1 and above.
Conclusion:
such a service will work perfectly in places where there is sufficient 3G or even 4G mobile service or strong Wi-Fi connection and will be cheaper when compared to ordinary call rate in many countries. It uses mobile data in communication, but in the absence of mobile data, it uses the user’s airtime to call.
