WhatsApp messenger is no doubt one of the best mobile phone and PC multimedia messenger. They offer group chatting, video, audio and picture exchange, and recently added a free call service. But, many people complain that they are not allowed to use more than one WhatsApp account on their Android device. In this post, I will share three ways in which you can have more than one account on your device.
Have you found yourself in a situation where your friend asks you to give him /her your device for them to access their WhatsApp account? This means you’ll have to loose every chat history because you must uninstall that WhatsApp and reinstall it which will make you loose your data and messages when they open their account.
So, for you to have multiple WhatsApp accounts, you will need to do the following:
1. Download OGWhatsApp: OGWhatsApp is a modded version of WhatsApp that is available for blackberry and android devices. It doesn’t require root access.
I. Backup all the messages and data in your WhatsApp messenger.
II. Go to system setting>>Apps>>WhatsApp and clear WhatsApp data.
III. Go to /SDcard/WhatsApp and rename the WhatsApp folder to OGWhatsApp
IV. Uninstall the official WhatsApp and install OGWhatsApp.
V. When opened, it will ask for a number, enter the old number (ie,the number in the uninstalled official WhatsApp. )and complete the process.
VI. Now, install the official WhatsApp again and insert the new number and complete the process.
That’s it! you now have two WhatsApp accounts on your device.
I. install the app, open it and create two different profiles to running two different accounts of WhatsApp. Each of the profiles have different system settings, apps and data. The first profile will contain your first WhatsApp account.
II. Switch to the second profile, then download another WhatsApp from playstore and register your new account.
That’s all. To use your different WhatsApp accounts, switch to different profiles.
i. It requires free space in your SDcard and phone memory.
ii. During profile switch, the device will reboot itself.
3. Download “WhatsApp for two lines” app:
This app is available for download on playstore but also requires ROOT ACCESS. When ever you need to switch, just click on the app and you have your second account on. With this, you can have as many WhatsApp accounts as possible on your device.
Hope this tutorial helps. please remember; choose according to your device state (either rooted or unrooted) to avoid saying
that it didn’t work. Also, invite your friends here or like our fan page on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/researchersportalcom
