It makes use of world map and IP addresses to position these radios so that you can easily find a radio station if you know the part of the map it is in.
The project was created by Studio Puckey and Moniker. It was turned into a company by Jonathan Puckey and with a small team, they are making the garden fun to be in, adding new features and making it simple and stable.
TuneIn.com: this is not only a place to listen to radio online, but it is also a great place for finding songs from your favorite artists. It has a clean and simple interface which makes it easy for someone to navigate. Streema.com: this is another great site for listening to radio online. They cover a wide range of radio stations and the website has few adverts on it. It boasts of having over 70,000 radio stations and also enables one watch over 10,000 TV stations in its directory.
Radio.net: from the name, one can conclude that it has something to do with listening to radio stations on the internet. Radio.net has over 30,000 radio stations in its directory and allows you to listen to them for free. The radio stations are also categorized based on their genre (about 58 different genres).

There are a lot of mobile applications that were developed to be used for listening to radios online. A little search on your mobile phone’s application store will give you a wide range of applications. I will just discuss a few of them.
Simple radio: this is a very good app that allows one to listen to radio stations online. It has a free version which comes with too many ads. You have the option to remove the ads if you upgrade. It has a number of radio stations and this is the application I normally make use of on my Android phone.
To download the app, just search for it on Google Play store and on the Apple store.
TuneIn app: The earlier mentioned website TuneIn.com also has a mobile version. It has radio stations that can be listened to via the internet just on its website.
Just like the simple radio app, TuneIn can be downloaded for both Android and iOS devices.
Accuradio: this is a very nice application for listening to radio online. Although not that popular, it boasts of over 1000 radio stations that can be rated by its users. That is, you have the option of rating radio stations based on your satisfaction level.
Pandora: this is also a very powerful online radio streaming application. It also has the feature that allows you to create your own radio station and get people to listen to it from all parts of the world. It also has a music streaming service where you can stream songs from any of your favorite artists.
